‘Band of Sisters’
This BACinema screening is at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago.
The movie is by local filmmaker Mary Fishman, who is slated to be at the screening.
Tickets are $7.50, or $5.50 for center members.

Brandy
Known for rhythm and blues hits like “I Wanna Be Down” and “Baby,” this singer performs at 8 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Venue at Horseshoe Casino, 777 Casino Center Drive, Hammond, Ind.
