Updated: June 18, 2013 8:36AM

Nick-a-Palooza 2013, a day filled with good music for a good cause, will be Saturday at the Paradise Bar and Grill, 105 10th St., Lockport.

The event, from 11 a.m. to midnight, is hosted by the Nick Kot Charity for traumatic brain injury, a nonprofit that has raised more than $140,000 for research and to help those dealing with TBI, which Kot suffered in an accident in 2000. Ten years after his death, his Homer Glen family continues to raise money to help others.

Tickets are $7, and kids under 7 get in free. There will be food, beverages, prizes, raffles, live music and kids’ activities.

The lineup of live music begins with Averling at 1:30 p.m., followed by Soul Bread, Release, Dead End Alley and concluding with Almost Famous from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.
