HALLOWEEN PLATES: Steger-South Chicago Heights Library, 54 E. 31st St., Steger, presents this program at 5 p.m. Attendees can prepare for Halloween with festive and custom-made plates by designing one and taking it home. THE HAUNTING: Chicago Ridge Public Library, 10400 Oxford Ave., hosts William Pack at 7 p.m. for this presentation designed for teens and adults only.
