Get Up and Go! for Feb. 13, 2014

Here are events worth getting out of the house for from Feb. 13 to March 27.

Suggestions include Chicago Heights and University Park.

Financial Aid Workshops: Prairie State College hosts workshops to help students and parents file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online. Submitting a completed and accurate FAFSA is the first step in obtaining financial aid.

Workshops are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdays to March 27. Spanish translations are available during the March 6 and 27 workshops.

With the exception of the March 20 morning session in Room 3205, all workshops will be in the Learning Achievement Center on the college’s main campus, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights.

The free workshops are open to the public. Registration is requested at (708) 709-3735 or financial-aid@prairiestate.edu.

“Choices And Consequences”: GSU Student Life and CBC Productions will present this play at 7 p.m. at Governors State University’s Center for Performing Arts, 1 University Parkway, University Park. Tickets are $10. Information: centertickets.net or (708) 235-2222.
