Chicago Comic Con guests include Southlanders

More than 500 celebrities from the world of movies, graphic novels, science fiction, gaming, comics, video gaming, toys, television and other pop-culture media will be on hand through Aug. 14 for Wizard World’s Chicago Comic Con.

Southlanders set to be a part of the event include author Nnedi Okorafor (author of “Iridessa and the Fire-Bellied Dragon Frog,” “Akata Witch” and “Who Fears Death”).

Also, SouthtownStar Beardo cartoonist Dan Dougherty (artist and writer of “Rotten” and “The Apocalypse Plan”) will be among the guests.
