BACinema to screen ‘A Separation’

The weekly film series at Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago, continues June 6 with the 7:30 p.m. showing of “A Separation.”
Directed by Asghar Farhadi, the movie stars Peyman Moadi, Leila Hatami and Sareh Bayat.
The Iranian film received the Oscar for best foreign language film of the year.
A married couple are faced with a difficult decision — to improve the life of their child by moving to another country or to stay in Iran and look after a deteriorating parent who has Alzheimer’s disease.
Rated PG-13 for mature thematic material, the drama runs for 2 hours and 3 minutes.
Tickets are $7.50, or $5.50 for center members. Tickets purchased for May 9 will be honored at this screening.
