It’s always good to see Southlanders involved in big projects.

Laura O’Radnick, a south suburban native, has been helping to market the independent 3-D film “I Heart Shakey.”

The movie is billed as a heartwarming must-see comedy for children and families to enjoy together.

Directed by Kevin Cooper and produced by DeAnna Cooper and Taejung Lee, “I Heart Shakey” will debuted via video-on-demand on June 15 and will be released in selected theaters on June 29.

“I Heart Shakey” follows the journey of single father JT, his 9-year-old daughter, Chandler, and their devoted dog, Shakey.

After landing his dream job in Chicago, JT has to make the hardest decision of his life by moving his family of three to the big city from Toledo, Ohio.

Shortly after they settle into their new luxurious home, they realize they have missed the fine print in the rental contract stating “no pets.”

Devastated by the possible loss of her beloved pet, Chandler hatches a plan to keep Shakey and teach her dad a valuable lesson about loyalty and the importance of keeping a family together.

The film was shot in the Chicago area and features stars like Steve Lemme (Broken Lizard comedian, “Super Troopers,” “Beerfest”), Steve Guttenberg (“Police Academy” franchise, “3 Men and a Baby”), Beverly D’Angelo (“National Lampoon’s Vacation” movies), Alfonso Arau (“Three Amigos!”), 12-year-old acting phenomenon Rylie Behr, and a rescue dog named Ebony.
