Beatles tribute band to play at fundraiser

The Beatles tribute band, American English, will perform at a Sept. 27 fundraiser at CD & ME, 23320 La Grange Road, Frankfort, for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Will County.
CASA is a nonprofit organization that trains volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system.
American English is known for its authentic set lists and elaborate costumes, which recreate the Beatles’ Ed Sullivan appearance, move through the Sgt. Pepper’s era and close with a tribute to Abbey Road and beyond.
“We receive more than half of our financial support from contributions and fundraising, so a good turnout at an event like this goes a long way in allowing us to directly help even more children within Will County,” CASA executive director Rita Facchina said.
CASA of Will County, whose offices are at Joliet’s River Valley Justice Center, has been serving abused and neglected children since 1994. In 2000, the court began assigning CASA volunteers as the guardians ad litem in juvenile court cases, resulting in improved legal representation for these children.
CASA of Will County will benefit from the sale of event tickets, sponsorships and 50/50 raffle tickets. Those unable to attend may make a tax-deductible donation at www.casaofwillcounty.org.

The $25 general admission ticket price includes the show, meet and greet with the band and a dinner choice of two hot dogs or grilled chicken breast sandwich and chips. Drinks and custom-made CASA Cupcakes, by Sweet Dreams Bakery, will be for sale.
