Here is a look at top events you won’t want to miss.
Suggestions include the BACinema screening of “Side By Side” at the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago and Jeff Krantz’s “Bloodletting” art show at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills.

The weekly film series at Beverly Arts Center continues at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 with “Side by Side.”
Directed by Christopher Kenneally, the documentary stars Derek Ambrosi, Michael Ballhaus and Dion Beebe.
Not rated, the movie runs for 1 hour and 39 minutes.
Actor Keanu Reeves produced “Side by Side,” which features directors James Cameron, David Fincher, David Lynch, Robert Rodriguez, Martin Scorsese and Steven Soderbergh.
