Orland Park will close its summer performances with the band Maggie Speaks at 4 p.m. Sept. 1 at the village’s Centennial Park West.
“This is a great way to enjoy Labor Day weekend,” Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin, one of the show’s sponsors, said. “We’ve had a great response to the shows that we’ve held at Centennial and we’re looking forward to having Maggie Speaks close the season.”
Organizers said attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, umbrellas, blankets and refreshments to enjoy the outdoor entertainment venue in the Colette Highlands Subdivision near 159th Street and 108th Avenue. Centennial Park West is at Park Station Boulevard and Somerglen Lane.
Maggie Speaks is one of the region’s top cover bands, organizers said. They have performed with Earth, Wind and Fire, The Doobie Brothers, .38 Special and Jay Leno.
The concert is free.
Concessions will be provided by Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant, Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery and Whole Foods.
