Oak Lawn library concert series starts Oct. 20

The Oak Lawn Public Library’s “Sunday with Friends Concert Series” kicks off Oct. 20 with a Cajun flavor.

The Midway Ramblers Cajun Band will play from 2 to 3 p.m. The band includes a bass guitar, button accordion, fiddle, guitar, percussion, triangle, rub board and singers.

On Nov. 17, Eddie Korosa Jr. and the Boys from Illinois will bring polka music to the library from 2 to 4 p.m. The band, which has been together since 1976, plays standards and their own brand of polka music.

The Limitations will play from 2 to 3 p.m. Dec. 8. This trio plays rockabilly music from the likes of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and the Stray Cats.

Admission is free for each show, held in the lower level of the library, 9427 S. Raymond Ave.
