Guests at the Four Winds Casino Resort will have the opportunity to drive around in one of two new 2011 Lexus IS 250s, plus a share of $30,000 in cash.

On Jan. 29, drawings for $30,000 in cash will begin at noon and continue through 9 p.m. at the New Buffalo, Mich., casino.

At 3 p.m., a lucky winner will receive one of the Lexus models.

Cash drawings will continue until 10 p.m., when another winner will be selected to take home the other vehicle.

Guests also are invited to stick around for the $10,000 last-chance drawing at 11 p.m.

Ameristar

The biggest and best player events and promotions — from spectacular giveaways to tournaments and special events — await at Ameristar Casino in East Chicago, Ind.

A spokesman said Ameristar always delivers more fun.

“We added more new slots for our guests to play, games like More Hearts, More Chilli, Graceful Lotus and Outback Mystery,” he said.

“But that is just a start. We are going to be adding more and more new games continually throughout the year.”

Just look for the “new slot” sign and you’ll know it’s been on the floor for 90 days or less.

“For even more fun, we’re adding two-times, three-times and four-times point multipliers on machines throughout the casino that are available all day, every day,” the spokesman said.

“This is on top of your Star Awards tier daily multiplier.”

Horseshoe

Chubby Checker will signal the new year at the Venue at Horseshoe Casinos in Hammond, Ind. Tickets are $25 for the 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 show.

He will be continuing 40 years of live performances, while releasing new studio music.

In a change of pace, he will be followed by country star Darius Rucker, who will appear at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23. Tickets are $95 and $45.

Rucker is being hailed by Variety as a “new major star for country music.”

In another change of pace, Air Supply is scheduled to appear at 8 p.m. Feb. 4. Tickets are $49.50, $35 and $25.

The band features the trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock’s soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell’s simple yet majestic songs that would forever be known as Air Supply, a spokesman said.

Also coming up on the Venue’s scheduled is Whoopi Goldberg on Feb. 11 for a Black History Month celebration. Tickets are $150, $89.50, $59.50, $49.50 and $39.50.

In 2002, Goldberg became one of an elite group of artists who have won the Emmy, the Tony, the Grammy, the Academy Award, and the Golden Globe.

“She is known for her humanitarian efforts on behalf of children, the homeless, human rights, education, substance abuse and the battle against AIDS,” the spokesman said.

Goldberg is also involved in many other causes and charities, and she is a goodwill ambassador to the United Nations.
