Pro Wrestling: AAW’s Path of Redemption with Lawler

Updated: March 25, 2012 8:07AM

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler will be part of AAW: Professional Wrestling Redefined’s Path of Redemption.

“We wanted to bring in a legend who could still put on an entertaining match,” AAW play-by-play announcer Phil Colvin said.

“The King is easily recognizable to fans as he is on TV every week. Plus, he is still actively competing on the indy circuit.

“The term ‘legend’ gets thrown around a lot in the wrestling business, but Jerry Lawler is the real deal. He will certainly have his hands full with Mason Beck as he is one of the most intense athletes on the AAW roster.

“We expect a very competitive contest here as the grizzled veteran takes on the young lion who is trying to make a name for himself.”

Presented by Oak Forest-based Death Grip Clothing, the show will take place at 7:30 p.m. (7 p.m. doors) Feb. 24 at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park.

VIP front-row seating is sold out. Tickets, which include a meet and greet from 5-7 p.m., are $25 for VIP second-row stage, $20 for VIP third-row stage, $25 for front-row floor, and $15 for second-row floor or third-row floor.

At the meet and greet, pricing is $10 for all autographs, $10 for photos with the wrestlers or $15 for both.

General-admission tickets, which do not include the meet and greet, are $10.
