More than 20 men will converge on one ring for a chance at glory on April 21.
That’s when Pro Championship Wrestling will present the Gladiator Bowl as part of its event at the Steger Veterans of Foreign Wars, 3332 S. Chicago Road.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show. Tickets are $10
“This sets up Dream Night, PCW’s premier show of the summer,” PCW officials said.
“The winner of the bowl will go on to challenge for the PCW championship at the biggest show in the Midwest this June in Oak Lawn. Everyone has a chance for this shot and you never know who might win.”
The show also will feature a giveaway for WWE’s “Extreme Rules” pay-per-view set for April 29 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont where Lockport native and WWE champion CM Punk will defend his title against Chris Jericho in a Chicago Street Fight match.
“We at PCW want to give back to the fans, and what better way than to offer a free chance to our fans — fans of the best company in the Midwest — to give them the opportunity to see the best company in the world?” PCW officials said.
The April 21 show will feature PCW heavyweight champion Johnny Mac defending his belt against “Hot Bod” Shawn Davis, Joe Heisman with December and Christopher Avonts.
“In the last year, Johnny Mac has taken on all challengers for his PCW championship and come out in the end as champion,” PCW officials said.
“The beauty or disadvantage of a four-way dance is Mac does not have to be pinned in order to lose the title. Anyone in the ring can pin anyone else to become champion. Mac will really need to be on his game in order to retain. This can be real tough.”
