The Prairie State College Foundation will host its annual scholarship fundraiser from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Nov. 9 at Olympia Fields Country Club, 2800 Country Club Drive. The theme of this year’s event is “Scholarship Safari: A Journey of Support.”
The event is being co-chaired by PSC Foundation president Anthony Maoloni and past president Johanna Manasse.
“When PSC students face financial struggles — job loss, medical bills, children’s school expenses that take priority over their own — the PSC Foundation is able to assist students to achieve their educational goals,” Maoloni said.
“With the generosity of community supporters who will join us for this celebration of scholarships, no PSC student will have to choose between paying a utility bill or buying a costly textbook.”
The event will feature an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a performance by the PSC Pioneer Jazz Band. Dinner begins at 8 p.m. in the Normandy Room and features student testimonials performed by the PSC speech team.
The Stand Up for Scholarships quick pledge event and a live auction also will be featured during dinner. A complimentary coffee and cookie bar, dancing in the Pavilion Room and a cash bar will follow dinner.
The event is safari apparel/black tie optional. Tickets are $175. Reservations are required, and space is limited.
