Here is a look at top events you won’t want to miss.
Suggestions include “The Realists” at Salon Artists Gallery in Park Forest and “Emperor” at the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago.
Salon Artists Gallery exhibits this show to July 31 at 294 Main St., Park Forest.
The display features work by Kato Dominquez, Maureen O’Toole and Jim Rittenhouse.
The opening reception will be on July 19 and feature refreshments and music.

The weekly film series BACinema continues with this screening at 7:30 p.m. July 10 at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago.
Directed by Peter Webber, the 2012 film stars Matthew Fox, Tommy Lee Jones and Eriko Hatsune.
Rated PG-13 for violent content, brief strong language and smoking (historical), the war drama runs for 1 hour and 38 minutes. Tickets are $7.50, or $5.50 for center members.
