Pro Wrestling: Kanellis, Quackenbush talk ROH, Chikara

Mike Quackenbush will bring Chikara to Chicago Ridge on April 28 for Hot Off the Griddle, a matinee show before Ring of Honor Wrestling's Unity, which will feature talent from Chikara later that evening.

What a weekend for fans of pro wrestling!
Lockport native CM Punk will defend his WWE championship against Chris Jericho in a Chicago Street Fight match at the “Extreme Rules” pay-per-view on April 29.
The show, which kicks off at 6:45 p.m. live, will take place at the Allstate Arena, 6920 N. Mannheim Road, Rosemont. Tickets are $25-$300 at Ticketmaster.com, or the 7 p.m. live broadcast can be ordered on PPV.
But before that, two Philadelphia-based promotions will partner for shows on April 28 at the Frontier Park fieldhouse, 9807 S. Sayre Ave., Chicago Ridge.
Chikara will present Hot Off the Griddle at 2 p.m. (1:30 p.m. doors) April 28.
This show will feature a Chikara vs. ROH interpromotional showdown between Eddie Kingston and Kevin Steen.
Tickets are $25 at chikarapro.com or at the door.
Ring of Honor Wrestling will present Unity, featuring Chikara talent, at 6:30 p.m. April 28.
The main event will be an ROH world tag-team title match featuring Jay and Mark Briscoe defending against Jigsaw and Hallowicked.
