Here is a look at an audition coming up in the area.

Flossmoor-based Midwest Motet Society is looking for singers for its fall concert cycle.

THE MIDWEST MOTET SOCIETY: The group, which is billed as the chamber choir for Chicago’s Southland, will begin summer auditions July 2 and continue until the end of August for the fall concert cycle.

Singers are encouraged to audition before Aug. 10 to be included in the summer retreat with guest clinician Albert Jackson, music department chair of South Suburban College in South Holland.

All voice parts are welcome and encouraged to audition.

Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings in Flossmoor and begin the last week of August.

The fall concert, Sacred Songs from Sacred Places: Motets of William Byrd, Salome Rossi and Claudio Monteverdi, will take place in early November.
