Here is a look at auditions.

Casting calls include Curtain Call Theatre’s auditions for “Baby.”

CURTAIN CALL THEATRE: Auditions for the spring musical, “Baby,” will take place from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 10 and at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Curtain Call Warehouse Theatre, 12535 Old Plank Road, New Lenox. Callbacks will be Feb. 13 if necessary.

“Baby” is about three couples, each newly expecting a child, who have different but familiar reactions.

They are the university juniors who have just moved in together, an athletic couple who have had some trouble conceiving and a couple who have three grown daughters who do not agree on what to do with the pregnancy.

The characters portray the emotional stresses and triumphs that accompany the anticipation and arrival of a baby.

The cast will consist of 13 characters, male and female, ranging in age from 20-65.

Rehearsals will begin Feb. 17 and will be take place from 1-4 p.m. Sundays and from 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. April 19-20 and 25-27 and at 2:30 p.m. April 21.

THE MIDWEST MOTET SOCIETY: Billed as the chamber choir for Chicago’s Southland, this group will continue auditions for the spring concert cycle to March 12. All voice parts are welcome and encouraged to audition.

Rehearsals will be on Tuesday evenings in Flossmoor beginning on March 12 for “From Yum Yum to Buttercup — and Everyone in Between: An Operetta Pastische,” which will be performed at 4 p.m. June 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2901 Western Ave., Park Forest.

The concert will feature music from operettas by Gilbert and Sullivan, Victor Herbert, Sigmund Romberg, Franz Lehar and Michael William Balfe with a smidgen of Allan Sherman.
