‘Mulberry Child’

The weekly film series continues at 7:30 p.m. April 3 with “Mulberry Child” at Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago.

Susan Morgan Cooper directed and wrote the dramatic biographical documentary.

Not rated, the screening runs for 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Author Jennifer Kwong (Jian Ping) and her daughter Lisa Xia will participate in a question-and-answer session after the screening.

Dr. Bill Miller

Riddles Comedy Club, 5055 W. 111th St., Alsip, hosts this physician who also happens to be a comedian on March 29-30.

Miller has headlined clubs throughout the United States since the 1980s.

Weekend

March 29’s Weekend magazine will feature an interview with Sopro Music promoter Bud Monaco about the 26th annual Chicago All Star Easter Parade Blues Revue in Midlothian.

There also will be a movie review of “Olympus Has Fallen” and the One-Minute Movie Critic feature, which offers a quick look at films in theaters.

Other articles include previews of Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show at the Rialto Square Theatre and “American Idol” season 10 winner Scotty McCreery’s concert at the Star Plaza Theatre.
