Shabbat Service: Temple Anshe Sholom, 20820 S. Western Ave., Olympia Fields, will have a Shabbat Service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The High School Havurah students will present the program “An Homage to Levi Strauss and Other Jewish American Inventive Emigrants.” At the Shabbat morning service at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, the fifth and sixth grade Junior Congregation will lead the service. Volunteers Needed: The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Catholic Charities is seeking volunteers age 55 and older to provide assistance for a variety of local activities. Volunteers can deliver meals to a homebound senior, mentor a child, visit lonely seniors in nursing homes or help coordinate craft projects at a senior center. Catholic Charities will match a volunteer’s interests with available opportunities. Catholic Charities will provide supplementary insurance, mileage and meal reimbursement during volunteer service.
