Amanda Morin, of Oak Forest, has been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa honor society at Parkland College in Champaign, Ill.

Ashlie Turza, of Orland Park, has received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.
Eastern Illinois University
John Durkin, of Lockport, has received the Susan Stephen Memorial Award, which recognizes a student who has achieved a level of excellence in the graphic design program. Durkin is a student at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill.
University of Illinois at Chicago
Hugh Vondracek, of Oak Lawn, has won the U.S. State
Department’s Critical Languages Scholarship. Vondracek will participate in a program featuring cultural enrichment experiences and intensive language studies in Turkey. He is a student
at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
