Volunteers Needed: The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Catholic Charities is seeking volunteers age 55 and older to provide assistance for a variety of local activities. Volunteers can deliver meals to a housebound senior, mentor a child, visit lonely seniors in nursing homes or help coordinate craft projects at a senior center. Catholic Charities will match a volunteer’s interests with available opportunities. Catholic Charities will provide supplementary insurance, mileage and meal reimbursement during volunteer service. Walkers: People can join the free walkers club at John’s Lutheran School’s gym, 4247 W. 183rd St., Country Club Hills. The gym is open to people interested in walking at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7 p.m. Thursdays and noon Sundays. Information: (708) 798-4131.

Sight Impaired: OASIS, Orland Area Sight Impaired Support, meets at 12:30 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at Orland Park Church, 7500 W. Sycamore Drive.
