Meal Packing: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 295 Sauk Trail, Frankfort, will host a mobile packing event for Feed My Starving Children June 22 and 23. More than 100,000 meals for children around the world will be packed by volunteers. Information: www.goodshepherdfrankfort.org/mobilepack.

Old Campground Festival: United Methodist Church of New Lenox, 339 W. Haven Ave., will host its 37th annual Old Campground Festival 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23 on the church’s wooded grounds located just off Lincoln Highway. The event includes arts and crafts vendors and outdoor entertainment. The day long festivities have been arranged by Mike Weirman and Bonnie Patrick. A pastoral prayer to open the festivities will be given at 10 a.m. by the church pastor, followed by the Kids and Company Preschool Entertainers. At 10:30 a.m. the “Mayor of Storyville” will be on the outdoor stage. The Sullivan School of Irish Dance takes the stage at 11:10 a.m. followed by Lyda Fox’s Guide Dog Demonstration. The festival’s first hot dog eating contest, open to all ages, is at 12:20 p.m. and will be followed by Kenny the Clown’s Magic Show at 12:55 p.m. New to the festival will be Jamie McIneney’s “Reptile Rampage” at 2 p.m. Rounding out the entertainment will be Peter Claver karate and self defense demonstrations at 3 p.m. Other activities include games for small children with prizes and face painting until 2 p.m. Refreshments include barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, Polish sausage, brownies, chips, coffee, lemonade, pop and bottled water. Snow cones and kettle corn also will be sold. Visitors should bring lawn chairs. Admission and parking are free. The rain date is noon to 5 p.m. June 24. Information: (815) 485-8271, Ext. 52.
