HOMEWOOD
Rauch to host farming program for kids
Farm Bureau representative Jean Rauch will host a program for children titled “From the Farmer to You” from 10 to 11 p.m. Friday at Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway.
Rauch will explain how food gets from the farmer to the consumer. The event will feature music, stories, popcorn and a craft. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

LOCKPORT
Challenge Fitness to host Emotional Freedom program
Challenge Fitness, 2021 S. Lawrence Ave., Lockport, will host its Emotional Freedom Technique program for those ages 16 and older from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Organizers said the program is effective in self-healing of phobias, anxiety, physical traumas, headaches, panic attacks and more. The cost is $35 for residents and $40 for others.

OAK LAWN
Library to show ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’
Oak Lawn Public Library, 9427 S. Raymond Ave., will show the 2005 movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at noon Friday.
In the movie, a young boy wins a tour through a chocolate factory led by the world’s most unusual candy maker.
Registration is not required. Children age 7 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
