St. Christopher Fiesta: St. Christopher Church’s annual fiesta continues through July 22 at 147th Street and Keeler Avenue, Midlothian. Activities include bands, shows, carnival rides, food vendors, games and raffles. Carnival hours are 5 to 10 p.m. July 20, 1 to 11 p.m. July 21 and 1 to 10 p.m. July 22. Bartolilni’s Meatball Eating Championship is at 2 p.m. and the grand raffle winner drawing for $15,000 is at 9:30 p.m. July 22. Information: www.stchrisfiesta.com.

Classical Shabbat Service: Temple Anshe Sholom, 20820 S. Western Ave., Olympia Fields, presents a Classical Shabbat at 7 p.m. July 20. Cold Beer, Hot Topics: Southside Theology on Tap will host a conversation series Sundays on the north lawn of St. Beradette Catholic Academy, 93rd and Francisco, Evergreen Park, for people in their 20s and 30s. The series will include a free dinner, beer and wine; and offer an opportunity to connect with neighbors. Volunteers Needed: The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Catholic Charities is seeking volunteers age 55 and older to provide assistance for a variety of local activities. Volunteers can deliver meals to a homebound senior, mentor a child, visit lonely seniors in nursing homes or help coordinate craft projects at a senior center. Catholic Charities will match a volunteer’s interests with available opportunities. Catholic Charities will provide supplementary insurance, mileage and meal reimbursement during volunteer service.
