Here is a look at what some Southland students are accomplishing in college, including news from Homer Glen, Orland Park, Calumet City and Oak Forest.
South Suburban College
Thomas Noonan, of Calumet City, has passed the spring 2012 Illinois Certified Shorthand Reporter examination to become a licensed professional court reporter in Illinois. Noonan is a student at South Suburban College in South Holland.
Benedictine University
Andrew Malone, of Lockport; Kara Walsh, of Oak Forest; and Mary Ryan, of Homer Glen; have each been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill.
University of Dayton
Colin Doyle and Andrea Massimilian, both of Orland Park, have each been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at the University of Dayton in Ohio.
University of Kansas
Elliot Kamely, of Homer Glen, has been named to the spring 2012 honor roll at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan.
