Steel retirees to meet
The Republic Steel Retirees will meet on Thursday at Steve’s Lounge, 13200 Baltimore Ave., Chicago.
The meeting will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $18 for guests.

Hamfesters to offer radio classes
Hamfesters Radio Club will hold its next radio class for the General Class FCC amateur radio license at 7 p.m. Thursday in the lower level at the Tinley Park Emergency Management Agency, 17355 S. 68th Court. Registration is required.

Rock to host Carpenters concert
Singer Lisa Rock and her six-piece band will host a concert titled “Close to You: The Music of The Carpenters” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Dorothy Menker Theater at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for seniors and students.
