Pumpkin Patch: The First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn, 100th Street and Central Avenue, is having a Pumpkin Patch 10 a.m. to dusk, daily through Oct. 31. Sunday hours are noon to dusk. There will be a selection of pumpkins and gourds, a gift and goodies tent and tractor rides for the children. Admission is free. Information: (708) 423-1170.

Free Movie: “I Am,” a documentary by Tom Shadyac, creative force behind “Ace Ventura.” “Liar Liar,” “The Nutty Professor” and “Bruce Almighty,” will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9401 S. Fashion Show: A lunch and fashion show is planned for 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Gerald’s Chapel Hall, 93rd and Central Ave., Oak Lawn. Taylor Marie’s will bring clothing and accessories that will be available for purchase following the show sponsored by the St. Gerald Women’s Club. Tickets are $20 and will be sold at the door. Spaghetti Dinner: Calvary Lutheran Church, 11249 S. Spaulding, Chicago, will host a spaghetti dinner and bake sale 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12. Information: (773) 233-3533.

Harvest Celebration: Trinity Church, 26900 Will-Center Road, Monee, will host its second annual Harvest Celebration noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Activities will include hayrides out to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, crafts, face painting, food, trunk or treat and harvest photos. Chuck Wagon Dinner: Immanuel United Church of Christ, 9815 S. Campbell Ave., Evergreen Park, is having a Chuck Wagon Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday followed by square dancing and line dancing. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children age 7 or younger or $20 for families of four or more. Dinner includes sloppy joe sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. Prayer: In honor of the 350th anniversary of the 1662 edition of The Book of Common Prayer, St. Andrew’s Anglican Church of Tinley Park, 18001 94th Ave., will host a series of communion services illustrating the history and development of the liturgy and practice of the Anglican Church from the first edition of the Prayer Book to the 20th Century. Fall Festival: The St Vincent DePaul Society of Our Lady of the Ridge will host its third annual Fall Festival 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the parish’s north parking lot, 108th and Ridgeland avenues. There will be children’s games, food and music. Ten hand-crafted afghans will be raffled off. The Chicago Ridge Police and Fire Departments will provide two of the teams competing in a pizza eating contest. The day will be capped off with a homemade pie judging with each of the entrants providing a duplicate pie for auction. Proceeds benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Society which provides food and aid to people in need in the communities of Chicago Ridge and Worth.

Hunger Walk: Step-off for the Southwest Suburban CROP Hunger Walk at 2 p.m. Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church, 14700 S. 94th Ave., Orland Park. The walk is about 3 miles walk. Information: (708) 349.0431.

Anniversary Celebration: At 10 a.m. Sunday, the Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 10056 S. Central Ave. Oak Lawn, will host its 125th anniversary celebration worship service. A luncheon will follow. Pasta Dinner: The Order Sons of Italy Leone D’Oro Lodge 2700 will sponsor its 11th annual pasta dinner 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Tinley Park High School, 6111 W. 175th St. Proceeds go to the Joseph Caldarone College Scholarship Fund, charity and general lodge activities. The family event will include entertainment by Nino Folino while dining on a meal of pasta and meatballs prepared by Palermo’s Restaurant of Orland Park. Salad, bread by Labriola Bakery, dessert and a beverage are included. There will be door prizes and a raffle. Tickets are $10 in advance and $11 at the door. Tickets for children ages 5 to 12 are $5.

Healing Mass: At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday there will be a healing Mass with the Rev. Ubald Rugirangoga of Rwanda at St. James the Greater Church, 22400 S. Torrence Ave., Sauk Village.

Polka Mass, Lunch: A special Polka Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 28 at St. Liboris Church, 35th Street and Halsted Boulevard, Steger. Dennis Motyka, Good Times, will provide music. Members of the Northwest Indiana Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will perform the 10 annual program of pipe organ music and other musical surprises appropriate to the season. Vibrant Faith Workshop: United By Faith Lutheran Church, 3240 W. 98th St., Evergreen Park, will host a Vibrant Faith Workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27. The program teaches how to share faith with your children through devotions, caring conversations, rituals, traditions and service. Musical Concert: From 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 27, the Presbyterian Church in Orland Park, 13401 S. Wolf Road, will present a concert featuring Charles Worth on the piano and Larry Deweese on the organ, along with duets and solos from various composers and genres. Donations will be divided to support the church’s music fund and Operation Southern Comfort, an organization that assists church music programs that have been ravaged by hurricanes in the New Orleans area. Trunk N Treat: Peace Memorial Church, 10300 W. 131st St., Palos Park, invites the community to its annual Trunk N Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in the church parking lot. Decorate your car trunk or hatchback in true Halloween style. Bring the kids in costume and let them trick or treat safely from parked car to parked car. Spaghetti Dinner: St. Irenaeus Parish’s 32th annual spaghetti dinner will be 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at 78 Cherry St., Park Forest. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for children younger than 10. Evening In Italia: St. Fabian Knights of Columbus Council 967’s “Evening In Italia” spaghetti dinner will be 4:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at St. Fabian’s Kash Hall, 8300 S. Thomas, Bridgeview. There will be an Italian restaurant atmosphere with dinner served at the tables and music provided by Dino, Frankie and Tony. Presale tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 7 and younger. At the door prices are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Children younger than 3 can eat free of charge. Tickets are available online for $11. Ticket price includes dinner, coffee and one desert. Breakfast and Halloween Bake Sale: Our Lady of Loretto Women’s Guild will host a Breakfast and Halloween Bake Sale 8:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 28 in the parish hall, 8925 S. Kostner, Hometown. Breakfast will be $6 per person, $3 for children ages 3 to 10 and free for children ages 2 and under. The breakfast includes one serving each of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, toast and beverage and unlimited coffee. Halloween candy and bakery items will also be sold. Spaghetti Dinner: First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2519 Grove St., Blue Island, is having a spaghetti dinner 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27. Tickets are $8 for adults, plus a non-perishable food item to be given to a local food pantry. Children ages 3 through 12 are $4, and children 2 and younger will be admitted free of charge.
