Heart Health: Franciscan St. James Health is celebrating its recent Chest Pain Center accreditation with a Heart Health Open House 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at its Heart and Vascular Institute, 3800 W. 203rd St., Olympia Fields. Headlining the event will be author, Joe Piscatella, who will talk about healthy lifestyles at 7:15 p.m. The author of 12 books, and frequent television guest, Piscatella will discuss the impact of chronic stress on dietary and exercise compliance. St. James staff cardiologists will present “Cardiovascular Care Guidelines”at 6:45 p.m. and “The Cardiologist Is In,” a question and answer session at 8:15 p.m. The evening also will include free screenings for diabetes, cholesterol, peripheral artery disease and carotid artery problems.
