Phantom Of The Organ: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8955 Columbia Ave., Munster, Ind., will host a Phantom of the Organ Concert at 7:13 p.m. Oct. 26. Members of the Northwest Indiana Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will perform the 10th annual program of pipe organ music and other musical surprises appropriate to the season. Featured will be ragtime music of Scott Joplin. Concertgoers are being encouraged to wear costumes and treats will follow the free family friendly event. Information: (708) 895-2466.
Family Fun Night: A Family Fun Night will be 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 26 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4800 Sauk Trail, Richton Park. The evening will include family talent competition, open mic night and games. Food and beverages will be available. Information: (708) 748-1995.
Craft/Vendor Fair: Salem United Church of Christ, 9717 S. Kostner Ave., Oak Lawn, will host its annual Craft and Vendor Fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27. Admission is free. Lunch and bake sale items will available. Information: (708) 424-7109.
All You Can Eat: Crete Reformed Church, 24755 S. Country Lane, will serve its Fall Fest Spaghetti Dinner 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 9 to 4. Faith Workshop: United By Faith Lutheran Church, 3240 W. 98th St., Evergreen Park, will host a Vibrant Faith Workshop 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27. The program teaches how to share faith with children through devotions, conversations, traditions and service. A $10 registration fee is required but it will be returned at the workshop. Musical Concert: The Presbyterian Church in Orland Park, 13401 S. Wolf Road, will present a concert featuring Charles Worth on the piano and Larry Deweese on the organ, along with duets and solos from various genres, at 4 p.m. Oct. 27. Donations will be divided to support the church’s music fund and Operation Southern Comfort, an organization that assists church music programs that have been ravaged by hurricanes in the New Orleans area. Trunk N Treat: Peace Memorial Church, 10300 W. 131st St., Palos Park, will host its annual Trunk N Treat 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in the parking lot. Spaghetti Dinner: First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2519 Grove St., Blue Island, is having a spaghetti dinner 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27. Tickets are $8 for adults, plus a non-perishable food item to be given to a local food pantry and $4 for children ages 3 through 12. There also will be bake sale and a raffle for a handmade quilt. Pumpkin Patch: The First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn, 100th Street and Central Avenue, is having a Pumpkin Patch 10 a.m. to dusk, daily through Oct. 31. Sunday hours are noon to dusk. Prayer: In honor of the 350th anniversary of the 1662 edition of The Book of Common Prayer, St. Andrew’s Anglican Church of Tinley Park, 18001 94th Ave., will host a series of communion services illustrating the history and development of the liturgy and practice of the Anglican Church from the first edition of the Prayer Book to the 20th Century. Israeli Cinema: Temple Anshe Sholom, 20820 S. Western Ave., Olympia Fields, is organizing an Oct. 27 bus trip to the Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema at the Thorne Auditorium, Northwestern Law School, 375 E. Chicago Ave., Chicago. The film is “Salsa Tel Aviv,” in Hebrew and Spanish with English subtitles. There will be a dinner and a salsa dance party, celebrating 60 years of Israeli-Mexican friendship. Cost is $30 per person. Spaghetti Dinner: St. Irenaeus Parish’s 32th annual spaghetti dinner will be 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at 78 Cherry St., Park Forest. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for children younger than 10. Evening In Italia: St. Fabian Knights of Columbus Council 967’s “Evening In Italia” spaghetti dinner will be 4:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at St. Fabian’s Kash Hall, 8300 S. Thomas, Bridgeview. There will be an Italian restaurant atmosphere with dinner served at the tables and music provided by Dino, Frankie and Tony. Presale tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 7 and younger. At the door prices are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Children younger than 3 can eat free of charge. Price includes dinner, coffee and one desert. Breakfast and Bake Sale: Our Lady of Loretto Women’s Guild will host a Breakfast and Halloween Bake Sale 8:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 28 in the parish hall, 8925 S. Kostner, Hometown. Breakfast will be $6 per person, $3 for children ages 3 to 10 and free for children age 2 or younger. Prayer Flag Project: Monkey Mind Art Studio and Gallery, 3 W. Nebraska St., Frankfort, is sponsoring a Prayer Flag Project. Flags collected by Oct. 30 will be distributed at a reception at the gallery at 7 p.m. Nov. 1, the proceeds of which will benefit the Monkey Mind Art Studio scholarship fund.
