New Year’s Day Bingo: Our Lady of Loretto will hold its annual New Year’s Day Bingo on Jan. 1 at the parish hall, 8925 S. Kostner, Hometown. New Year’s Eve Celebration: Christ the King School Advisory Board will have a King Eve Celebration at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 in the gymnasium, 9240 S. Hoyne, Chicago. Cloud of Shame will entertain with hits from the ’50s to the present. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. The cost includes appetizers, beer, wine and soda. New Pastor: Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 5536 W. 131st St., Crestwood, has announced the appointment of the Rev. John Wright as pastor effective Dec. 31. Wright is working on his master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University. He and his wife, Deborah, have three young boys. An installation service is planned for Jan. 13.
Concert on Epiphany: The Community Renewal Chorus will present an Epiphany concert at 3 p.m. Jan. 6 at St. Alexander Church, 7025 W. 126th St., Palos Heights.
