Healthy Heart: A registered nurse will discuss the importance of maintaining a healthy heart at 10 a.m. Feb. 6 at the Palos Heights Public Library, 12501 S. 71st Ave., Palos Heights. This is part of the “It’s All About the Heart” lecture series. Information: (800) 323-8622, code 1C60.

Children’s Orthopedic Assessment: Oak Lawn Elks Lodge 2254 and Chicago South Elks Lodge 1596 in cooperation with the Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program will have a free children’s orthopedic assessment clinic 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 6 at Parkview Musculoskeletal Institute, 7600 W. Hip Pain: An orthopaedic surgeon will discuss hip anatomy, common causes of hip pain and when to consult a physician about pain.
