CountyCare Enrollment Fairs: Cook County residents who are uninsured or under-insured may be eligible to receive no-cost health insurance through CountyCare. Once enrolled in the program, people will receive primary care service, hospitalization, prescription drugs, labs, X-rays, mammograms, mental health and substance abuse programs. Heart Screenings: MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island is offering a heart and circulation screening for $40. The “Healthy Heart Exam includes an EKG-monitored exercise test, blood pressure, body mass index and laboratory tests that include total, HDL and LDL cholesterol levels, triglycerides and glucose levels.
