CountyCare Enrollment Fairs: Cook County residents who are uninsured or under-insured may be eligible to receive no-cost health insurance through CountyCare. Once enrolled in the program, people will receive primary care service, hospitalization, prescription drugs, labs, X-rays, mammograms, mental health and substance abuse programs. CountyCare enrollment fairs will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 26 at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 at Prairie State Community College, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. Information: (708) 389-2125.

Medicare Supplement Insurance Seminar: There will be a free Medicare Supplement Insurance seminar 9 a.m. to noon June 15 at the United Insurance Services corporate office, 6500 W. Runner’s Success Discussion: Palos Community Hospital is hosting a free presentation by an orthopedic surgeon as he discusses the proper way to begin and maintain a safe and effective runner’s training program at 6 p.m. June 18 at Palos Health and Fitness Center, 15430 West Ave., Orland Park. Medication Workshop: Join PLOWS Council on Aging for a workshop on medication safety for seniors age 60 and older followed by individual reviews of medications at 10 a.m. June 18 at Founders Square, 7103 W. 111th St., Worth. Seniors will have the opportunity to meet one-one-one with pharmacists and students from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s pharmaceutical college. Total Lipid Testing: Orland Township is hosting total lipid profile testing 8:30 to 11 a.m. June 20 at 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park. Residents may have total cholesterol levels read as well as triglycerides, LDL and HDL cholesterol. A 9- to 12-hour fast is required, however participants should drink water prior to the lipid test. The cost is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents. An appointment is necessary and participants must bring proof of residency on the day of testing. Appointment: (708) 403-4222.

Diabetes Education: Learn about diabetes and how to control it by attending a free educational seminar 6 to 7 p.m. June 26 at the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st St., Tinley Park. Information: (800) 221-2199.

Grief Support Group: Ingalls bereavement services sponsors a free grief support group at 2 p.m. every Monday at Ingalls Memorial Hospital, 1 Ingalls Drive, Harvey. Registration: (708) 331-1360.

Better Breathers Support Group: The Ingalls Better Breathers Club is a free support group that offers education on a wide variety of topics relating to lung disease and lung health. The group is intended for patients and their families. Better Breathers meets the second Tuesday of the month at the Ingalls Family Care Center, 19550 Governors Highway, Flossmoor. Heart Screenings: MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island is offering a heart and circulation screening for $40. The “Healthy Heart Exam includes an EKG-monitored exercise test, blood pressure, body mass index and laboratory tests that include total, HDL and LDL cholesterol levels, triglycerides and glucose levels.
