Family-friendly acts of any age from any town can submit a DVD or CD by Friday to be considered for the first round of competition for Taste of Orland Park.
Submissions should be marked “Attn: Frann Carnivele-Sidlow” and delivered to the Orland Park Recreation Department, 14600 S. Ravinia Ave.
Judges will select 25 semifinalists to compete at 7 p.m. July 25 at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 S. Ravinia Ave. The judges and audience will choose 15 finalists to compete during the Taste of Orland Park from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 4 on the community stage.
The top three winners will receive gift cards of $500 for first place, $300 for second place and $200 for third place.

The second annual World’s Largest Steppers Family Day Cook-Out and Barbeque is set for Sunday in the Green Lake Forest Preserve, 159th Street and Torrence Avenue, Calumet City.
The free event, which will begin at 10 a.m. and go to dusk, is being presented by the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, Southland elected officials, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County and Thornton Township.
Officials recommend arriving early to obtain a grilling area.
Live acts will include Marshall Thompson, of the Chi-Lites, performing his new single, “Hot On a Thing Called Love.”
