Updated: December 2, 2013 12:01PM

The Irish American Society of County Will will host its annual meeting and election of officers from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Joliet Historical Museum, 204 N. Ottawa St., Joliet.

Drinks and a light lunch will be served. Membership dues must be current for one to be eligible to vote for officers. There also will be a roundtable discussion on activities for the coming year.

The nonprofit, founded in 1981, aims to promote Irish culture in America and to preserve Irish-American heritage, according to its website.

The organization is responsible for growing Will County Celtic Fest, and will discuss the fest successes at the meeting, according to Sheila Corrigan, cultural chair. It also gives scholarships to students to study in Ireland.

Annual dues have not increased since its inception, according to membership chair Mike McHugh. Family memberships are $30; individuals are $25.
