Craft And Vendor Fair: This St. Louis de Montfort event is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Quinn Hall, 8840 S. Ridgeland Ave., Oak Lawn.
Turkey Dinner: St. John’s United Church of Christ, 11100 Second St., Mokena, hosts its annual turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Community Center. Spaghetti Dinner: First Christian Church, 1045 Dixie Highway, Chicago Heights, hosts this 51st annual event from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. All-you-can-eat salad, spaghetti and bread will be served. Children’s Choir 2013-14 Season: Living Word Lutheran Church, 16301 S. Wolf Road, Orland Park, starts this third season. Practices will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting on Tuesday. Sight Impaired Support: Orland Area Sight Impaired Support for the Visually Impaired meets at 12:30 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at Orland Park Church, 7500 W. Sycamore Drive. Volunteers Needed: The Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Catholic Charities seeks volunteers age 55 and older to provide assistance for local activities. Volunteers can deliver meals to a homebound senior, mentor a child, visit lonely seniors in nursing homes or help coordinate craft projects at a senior center. Catholic Charities will match a volunteer’s interests with available opportunities. Catholic Charities will provide supplementary insurance, mileage and meal reimbursement during volunteer service.
