Cookie Walk: The Dorcas Society of Zion Lutheran Church, 540 Oak Park Ave., Beecher, hosts this 13th annual event from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the parish hall. Still Night Service: Anyone in the community who wishes for a time of stillness to meditate and pray during the hectic holiday season can gather at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church of Homewood’s sanctuary, 17929 Gottschalk Ave. The service includes Scripture, carols, Communion and an optional laying on of hands for a blessing.
