Keilman receives military medal
Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Robert T. Keilman recently received the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal while serving at Navy Recruiting District New Orleans, La.
“Keilman demonstrated superb salesmanship and expert recruiting techniques by greatly contributing to a team in setting a phenomenal recruiting production pace, resulting in the attainment of numerous command goals,” said military officials in a news release. “He inspired his peers to strive for higher levels of excellence and provided a motivational catalyst for their recruiting success.
Keilman also was named the NRD New Orleans Sailor of the Year and Support Person of the Year, fiscal year 2011.
Keilman is the son of Maureen H. Rosolowski, of Beecher, and Robert T. Keilman, of Hammond, Ind.
Wesley graduates from basic training
Army National Guard Pvt. Stanley Wesley Jr. has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
Wesley is the grandson of May Watts, of Richton Park, and the son of Desiree Watts, of Chicago. He is a 2011 graduate of Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields.
Sargis completes flight training
U.S. Navy Ensign Jeffrey Sargis has completed primary flight training in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sargis finished in the top 3 percent of his class and has been selected to train for Strike Jets in Meridian, Miss. He will complete his training at NAS Meridian in the T-45C.
During training, he will learn strike tactics, weapons delivery and air combat maneuvering and will receive his carrier landing qualification.
Sargis is a resident of Midlothian. He graduated from St. Christopher, Bremen High School and Lewis University.
Carlson graduates basic training
Army Reserve Pvt. Richard S. Carlson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
Carlson is the son of Shirley Carlson of New Lenox. He is a 2007 graduate of Lincoln Way Central High School in New Lenox.
