A new Open Table survey shows how diners want/plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year.

◆ 51 percent say they plan to dine out on Thursday, while 36 percent will wait for the weekend.

◆ 8 percent plan on dining out more than once.

◆ When selecting a restaurant, diners look for 1) positive reviews, 2) romantic ambience, 3) service.

◆ Romantic diners expect to spend on average $139 on this special dinner.

◆ Most, 56 percent, plan to select a traditional three-course meal, with appetizer, entree and dessert.

◆ 23 percent will choose small plates and 18 percent will just opt for an entree.

◆ Sexiest male celebrity chefs are: Bobby Flay, Tyler Florence, Eric Ripert and Marcus Samuelsson.

◆ Sexiest female chefs are: Amanda Cohen, Melissa Perello, Stephanie Izard and Tiffany Derry.
