While authorities continue to investigate the sudden death of Air Force Cadet James Walsh, of Tinley Park, his family has planned his funeral service.

Walsh, 22, was found dead Feb. 2 in the cadet area of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Academy personnel found Walsh and contacted emergency services, who attempted to revive him, according to a news release from the academy.

The academy has declined to release further details on Walsh’s death, saying it remains under investigation.

The El Paso County coroner’s office said Thursday that it would not have complete test results for several weeks and would not comment on Walsh’s cause or manner of death.

Visitation for Walsh will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Church, 17500 S. 84th Ave., Tinley Park. Interment will be private.

Walsh is survived by his parents, Maureen and Timothy, and brothers John and Daniel.
