CAR THEFT: A 1998 BMW was stolen between Feb. 1 and April 17 in the 6200 block of Great Plains Avenue.
BURGLARY: About $1,500 worth of tires and rims, a snowblower, a leaf vacuum and a child’s riding toy were stolen April 5 from a garage in the 5600 block of Crestwood Road.
THEFT: A University Park woman told police a man who asked her to make change grabbed $179 in cash out of her hand April 20 and fled from the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 21410 Cicero Ave.
POT POSSESSION: Alfrederick Thomas, 27, 615 W. 16th Place, Chicago Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana and illegal transportation of alcohol after an April 21 incident in the parking lot of Bocce Bar, 3909 W. U.S. 30, police said.
PILFERED PHONE: A cellphone was stolen April 12 from a Rich East High school student’s backpack while he was in a classroom at the school, 300 Sauk Trial.
TIRE THEFT: All four tires were stolen April 15 from a car in the first block of Arbor Trail. The car was left on landscaping bricks.
HOME BURGLARY: A laptop computer was stolen April 16 or 17 from a house in the 300 block of Miami Street.
HOME BURGLARY: A pair of shoes and perfume were stolen April 18 from a house in the 400 block of Tomahawk Street.
VANDALISM: A car window was smashed April 19 in the 400 block of Todd Street.
POT POSSESSION: Jeffrey Hope, 33, 49 Dogwood St., Park Forest, was charged with possession of marijuana after being questioned April 19 by police while walking near his home, police said.
HOME BURGLARY: A television, laptop computer, other electronics and shoes were stolen April 19 from a home in the 100 block of Willow Street.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Benjamin Watkins, 18, 123 Hay St., Park Forest, was charged with domestic battery after an April 20 incident in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard, police said.
THEFT: Catalytic converters were removed April 21 or 22 from five trucks at U-Haul, 2210 Western Ave.
