Coming off an emotional win over Joliet Catholic, St. Patrick powered to a 35-0 lead before halftime and rolled to victory. The win was the third in a row for St. Patrick.

THE TURNING POINT

After going three-and-out to start the game, Marian Catholic (2-5, 0-4) had its punt blocked and St. Patrick (4-3, 2-2) took over at the Spartans 4-yard line. Jeremy Molina scored the first of his three touchdowns on the next play.

THE STAR

Molina rushed for 165 yards on 15 carries. Along with the 4-yard plunge, he had touchdown runs of six and 76 yards on back-to-back carries. The senior had only two carries in the second half.

BY THE NUMBERS

St. Patrick quarterback Zach Fuller finished 9-of-15 for 175 yards and three touchdowns, including a 71-yard touchdown pass to Matt Smith on the team’s last possession of the first half. Dillon Burns rushed for 59 yards on 17 carries for the Spartans, while quarterback Patrick Schmidt completed 10-of-21 passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns.
