CHICAGO HEIGHTS

BURGLARY: An air compressor, skill saw, drill and battery charger were stolen between Feb. 28 and March 3 from a house in the 200 block of West 16th Street.

DUI ARREST: Blaze Pierce, 21, 176 Carriage Lane, Sauk Village, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, running a red light and no insurance after a March 2 stop at 12th and Halsted streets, police said.

WINDOW SHOT: A BB shot was fired March 3 at a house in the first block of Craig Street, causing a window to shatter.

THEFT: A catalytic converter was stolen March 3 from a car in the 1600 block of Aberdeen Street.

GUN THREAT: A Chicago Heights man told police a man pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him during a dispute March 3 in the 400 block of West 14th Street.

HOME BURGLARY: A computer was stolen March 4 from a house in the 1200 block of Barbara Lane.

THEFT: A car battery was stolen March 4 in the 200 block of West 16th Street.

THEFT: Someone stole a cellphone from an unlocked locker March 5 at Bloom High School, 101 W. 10th St..

POT POSSESSION: Michael Schulte, 30, 15403 Thistlewood Drive, Orland Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and running a stop sign after a March 5 stop at 16th Street and Western Avenue, police said.

BREAK-IN: A television was stolen March 5 from a home in the 1900 block of Ashland Avenue.

TRESPASSING: Hector Hinojosa, 43, 85 W. 25th St., Chicago Heights, was charged with criminal trespass and retail theft after drinking an alcoholic beverage March 6 at Heights Fresh Market, 1657 Chicago Road, and then refusing to pay for it, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Jerome President, 46, of Woodstock, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after asking for a cup of water March 8 at Claudia’s Tire Shop, 513 S. Halsted St., and then refusing to leave the business, police said. They said he swore at an employee and threw the water cup during the incident.

BURGLARY: A hot water heater, water meter, miscellaneous piping and ventilation piping were stolen sometime before March 8 from a vacant home in the first block of West 16th Place.
