COUNTRY CLUB HILLS
BURGLARY: Someone stole an air conditioning unit between March 24 and April 9 from a vacant home in the 3600 block of 176th Street.
THEFT: About 20 feet of copper pipe sometime before March 25 from a vacant home in the 4200 block of 176th Place.
MARIJUANA CHARGE: Anthony Robinson, 24, 4501 W. 175th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and no insurance after being questioned by police March 27 in the 17500 block of Mulberry Place, police said.
BATTERY: Sherry Jackson, 36, 7443 S. Bennett, Chicago, was charged with battery after repeatedly punching a woman in the face during a March 27 argument in the 19200 block of Elm Drive, police said.
THEFT: Someone stole copper pipe and a gas meter March 28 from inside a vacant home in the 18000 block of Idlewild Drive.
RETAIL THEFT: Michelle Smith, 44, 511 Monroe St., Dolton, was charged with retail theft after stealing 99 items worth nearly $600 March 28 from Wal-Mart, 4005 W. 168th Place, police said.
CAR BURGLARY: Jewelry, and a handbag were stolen March 28 or 29 from a car in the 18600 block of Maple Avenue.
CAR BURGLARY: A car stereo, a wallet and a package of underwear were stolen March 30 from a car in the 18600 block of Chestnut Avenue.
BURGLARY: Someone stole a stainless steel stove March 31 from a vacant house in the 4800 block of Summerhill Drive.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Jermaine Porter, 35, 4207 W. 186th Place, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery after an April 3 incident at his home, police said.
RESISTING POLICE: Victoria Oyeyemi, 29, 3724 W. 168th St., Country Club Hills, was charged with resisting police and criminal damage to property after breaking a windshield and refusing to be handcuffed during an April 4 incident in the 3700 block of 168th Street, police said.
BATTERY: Martel Hampton, 29, 15755 Madison, Dolton, was charged with battery after hitting another man in the face during an April 5 argument in the 3700 block of 168th Place, police said.
THEFT: Two men broke into a fenced area April 7 outside the Wal-Mart automotive department, 4005 W. 168th Place, and stole 11 car batteries.
DUI ARREST: Kevin Rakestraw, 24, 916 Maple Road, Flossmoor, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and having an obstructed view after being stopped April 8 at 188th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.
CAR THEFT: A car was stolen April 9 after it was left it running outside a home in the 17800 block of Cedar Avenue.
GUN CHARGE: Joseph Cherry, 19, 1519 W. 172nd St., Hazel Crest, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, illegal possession of a prescription painkiller, possession of marijuana, driving without a valid license or registration, no insurance and not wearing a seat belt after police found an illegal handgun and nine rounds of ammunition in his car during an April 10 stop in the 4300 block of 183rd Street, police said. They said Rodney Woods, 18, 4295 W. 188th St., Country Club Hills, also was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
DUI CASE: Lance McDonald, 21, 929 Dracker St., Hammond, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane use after a stop April 13 at 175th Street and Sycamore Avenue, police said.
