A South Holland man has been charged in connection with a shooting in Chicago’s West Englewood neighborhood that injured two men Easter Sunday.

Keithrick Childs, 23, faces one felony count of aggravated battery by discharging a firearm for the April 20 shooting that injured two men, ages 20 and 25, about 3:30 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Laflin Street, police said.

The 25-year-old was shot in the shoulder and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said at the time. The 20-year-old was shot twice in the face and took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, but he later was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Both men survived the shooting, police said.

Childs, of the 700 block of East 154th Street in South Holland, was scheduled for a bond hearing Saturday.
