BURGLARY: Office supplies, an electric meter and a duffel bag were stolen June 11 from the ComEd substation, 14501 Bell Road. The fence at the substation was damaged to gain access to the property.
VEHICLE BURGLARY: Kevin Benak, 45, 3309 W. 108th St., Chicago, was charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after he broke into a vehicle June 11 in the 16000 block of 143rd Street, police said.
VANDALISM: A Plymouth Neon was damaged June 13 at Parker Self Storage, 15915 Parker Road, where it was being stored.
NO LICENSE: Martin Z. Hernandez, 24, 16008 Parker Road, Homer Glen, was charged with driving without a valid license after a stop June 15 at Chicago-Bloomington Trail and Parker Road, police said.
FORGERY: Wesley Newsome, 34, 11944 Stephanie Drive, Mokena, was charged with forgery, identity theft and unlawful use of a credit card after attempting to use a phony credit card to purchase a $1,200 diamond ring and $2,600 worth of clothing, bedding and electronics May 20 at Sears at Orland Square Mall, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Ayman Jaber, 47, 19313 Tara Court, Mokena, was charged with domestic battery after a May 23 incident in the 15100 block of Orlan Brook Drive, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Haya Hammad, 37, 8927 Wheeler Drive, Orland Park, was charged with retail theft after stealing seven pieces of jewelry and two bottles of perfume May 23 from Express at Orland Square Mall, police said.
WARRANT ARREST: Michael Parker, 39, 12140 S. Edbrooke, Chicago, was arrested on a Will County warrant for failure to appear in court after he tried to cash a suspicious check May 23 at PNC Bank, 15411 LaGrange Road, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Edward Macker, 55, 633 155th St., 1A, Phoenix, was charged with retail theft after stealing two pieces of jewelry May 23 from Kohl’s at Orland Park Place mall, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Frank Angone, 44, 14517 Poplar Road, Orland Park, was charged with domestic battery after a May 23 dispute at his residence, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Crystal Leyva, 23, 12555 Western Ave., Blue Island, was charged with retail theft after stealing $170 in underwear and jewelry May 25 from Sears at Orland Square Mall, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Danielle Banks, 19, 392 E. 160th Place, Harvey, and Morgan Keepers, 19, 1825 171st St., #1, Hazel Crest, were charged with retail theft after stealing merchandise May 27 from J.C. Penney at Orland Square Mall, police said.
DUI ARREST: Caryl Murphy, 47, 5900 Edward Drive, Oak Forest, was charged with drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident and making an improper turn after a May 29 crash in the 7300 block of Evergreen Drive, police said.
