Promoting your business using Twitter

The Business & Career Institute of South Suburban College will host a workshop titled “Using Foursquare and Twitter to Grow Your Business” on Feb. 9 in the Heritage Room at the college’s main campus, 15800 S. State St., South Holland.

Check-in starts at 8:15 a.m., and the workshop runs from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Attendees will learn how to market and promote their businesses on Foursquare and Twitter. The cost is $15 per person, or $10 per person if three or more people from the same company attend.

Job-search workshop at Prairie State

The International Association of Administrative Professionals, Chicago Lake Shore Chapter, is

hosting a job-oriented workshop on March 3 at the Prairie State College Conference Center, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights.

The event starts at 8 a.m. with registration and concludes at 4 p.m. Workshops will cover job-search techniques, resume writing and interviewing skills.
