Tyler Dean, of Burbank, has been awarded a music scholarship from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind.
Illinois Wesleyan University
Several area students have been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill.

Rachel Larson, of New Lenox, has received a bachelor’s degree from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.

Amanda DeYoung, of Beecher, has been accepted to Central College’s study abroad program. DeYoung will study in London for the fall 2012 semester.
Eastern Illinois University
James Campian, of Orland Park, has received the Irene Couchman Buzzard Scholarship, which is presented to an art major who demonstrates excellence in ceramics or jewelry/metalsmithing. Campian is a student at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill.
