Dennis Kelly, a 2004 graduate of St. Kieran School in Chicago Heights who is an offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, recently returned to the school to speak at an all-school assembly.
Kelly, also a graduate of Purdue University, emphasized to the students the importance of a good education and how St. Kieran and Marian Catholic High School instilled in him a solid work ethic.
At the end of the assembly, Kelly spent time answering questions from the students and signing autographs.
The Eagles selected Kelly in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was a four-year letterman at Purdue and was named a team co-captain as a senior after being voted the team’s offensive MVP following his junior season.
